Sacred to the memory of the Reverend Henry Dixon who was Vicar of Ferring for 38 years, died November 6th 1870 aged 72
Anne Dixon wife of the above died March 20th 1864 aged 64
** It should be noted that a bonfire had destroyed the inscription for Henry Dixon. Edwin Duncan had visited in 1893 recording the information in his notebooks
